The Tom Natural project took place on Sundays in November, 2001, at 11am, in the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Gardens. Tom Jobim’s music played by the best known Brazilian musicians. An audience of more than 10,000 appeared over the four weekends to listen to the music under the centenary royal palms of this the most beautiful park in Rio de Janeiro.

Taking part in the project were: Gilson Peranzzetta (piano), Altamiro Carrilho (flutes), Maurício Einhorn (harmonicas), João Carlos Assis Brasil (piano), Andrea Ernest Dias (flutes) Mauro Durão (bass clarinet), Leandro Braga (piano), Mauro Senise (sax), Luiz Alves (double bass) and the Rio Jazz Orchestra conducted by Marcos Szpilman.
